The Duchess is one of the final collectible cues that Richard Black made in the year 2000. It is eloquently constructed of Snakewood, Ivory, Pink Ivory wood and Sterling Silver (hand engraved). The unique joining of the sections of the butt of the cue are like the teeth of a gear, meshing with each other to form an appearance of having no glue seams.

A major log of Snakewood was acquired to select the best it had to offer for this one-time creation.

Each Maple shaft (with Ivory Ferrule) is inlaid with eight Snakewood points, eight engraved Silver spearheads and eight Pink Ivory wood squares bordered in Silver.

There is a set of custom cap protectors for the butt and both shafts. The butt cap is Snakewood inlaid with the same Silver and Pink Ivory wood inlays adorning the butt and shafts at the collar area. The shaft caps are Snakewood with a Silver engraved medallion inlaid into the top of each shaft cap.

The custom presentation case is fashioned from Mahogany, inlaid with Snakewood and the same inlay patterns that adorn the butt of the cue.

* The cue can be lightened by as much as one ounce.
