Aurora

Aurora

Nature has provided most of the patterning in this unusual cue comprised of Wildwood burl, impregnated with coloring and acrylics. Starting with a smoky teal near the butt and progressing through almost the entire spectrum, the colors change progressively along the handle, reaching a rich chestnut near the joint. The swirling patterns of the burl and the smooth variations of color evoke images of the aurora borealis or Northern Lights, for which the cue is named. The only adornments to this colorful cue are silver rings at the butt, mid-handle and joint, along with three silver shooting stars piercing the night. The primitive, filigree patterns were achieved by casting the silver in a technique borrowed from jewelry-making.
